Stress Rx has submitted a grant request through the Pepsi Refresh Project. We hope to find out soon if your request has been accepted. The grant will provide money to help us establish a non profit status, provide additional training, and cover the cost for 500 free massage treatments for cancer patients.

Stress Rx is actively seeking grants to expand and continue our free massage program for cancer patients. In November we provided free massage treatments numbers 200 and 201 this year. There is a growing need to expand these services. Currently we see about 20 clients regularly. At this point we are looking for an additional therapist that is trained or wishes to be trained in massage for people living with cancer. There is also a growing need for a home treatment component. Many clients undergoing treatment are physically not able to make it to our office. While we have the vehicle and equipment to provide this service we need funding to cover the cost of gas, maintenance, insurance, and supplies.
The Dream facility...
A place where cancer patients can go and get away completely from the stress of their day to day life, to be pampered in luxury, to be treated like royalty, to feel normal but so very special. A place where they can share this experience with a dear friend, a daughter or son, a husband or wife, a mother or father, anyone they wish.
We are pleased to announce that we have relocated to a larger office located at 207 E 2nd Street in Davenport on October 7th. This new office provides us with more treatment rooms and a warmer more relaxed environment.
While we completely self fund our free massage treatments for cancer patients any donations to keep the program moving forward are greatly appreciated. The money is used for additional training, equipment, and supplies. I would like to have another staff member trained in massage for people living with cancer so that we can provide these treatments to more people.
